Local islands! For the first time, I was able to drive a car onboard a ferry. :op I don't know why, but it was extra exciting. Haha.
It was a fun excursion to do while my mom was visiting. Luckily, she also loves yarn, so while we did some sight seeing, we also got to check out a couple yarn stores!
First up, we found a store called The Artful Ewe in Port Gamble. We didn't realize that technically it was closed when we arrived. We were about to turn around, when the owner showed up right behind us and allowed us in while she just happened to be there! It was my first time in the shop and I was so impressed by the selection of yarn and fibers. It appears that the owner dyes most of what is there, and I couldn't help but to buy a couple braids of beautiful fiber. :o)
After that we made our way to Bainbridge and Churchmouse. It was as adorable as ever, and after circling a number of times, I finally decided on what was coming home with me.
I can't wait to get some time to use these pretties! Squee! :oD
